A new dawn
beckons us each morn
Radiant rays weave magic
Glistening all that it touches, to
A golden hue.
Thank you Shambhavi for introducing this form of poetry !
Know Sidlak:
Sidlak poetry (sid/lak) is a structured poetry consisting of 5 lines with 3-5-7-9 syllables AND A COLOR. The last line must be a COLOR that describes the whole poem or the feelings of the writer.
Really beautiful. Love this line- ‘ Radiant rays weave magic’.

Hello dear friend! It seems like you are enjoying sidlak poetry and am very happy for a positive response from you. “Sidlak” is a filipino-visayan word meaning shine. Actually the original name of the structured poetry was “rainbow poetry” but such name already existed so the creator changed it to sidlak poetry. I do hope you enjoyed such structured poetry that started just for fun only. 🙂 ❤

Thank you so much for sharing some more information on this beautiful form of poetry. I feel the poet can convey so much in just a few lines. I think I first read sidlak in your blog and Shambhavi’s blog.( If I recall correctly). Thanks for introducing this form of poetry to me. 💝🙏
