Bewildered, puzzled and lost,

in the maze of your myriad thoughts,

you start to hear the cacophony of ideas,

embroiled in a tangle of reasoning,

when clarity abandons you,

you are unsure of the path to tread,

how do you find your way out?

  1. Sleep for sometime. We wake up with a clear mind, so we can better decisions.
Or give it time. As time passes by, few things become clear, then we can take a decision.
Meditate and relax. Helps to calm down the mind. 🙂

  2. When the path is unclear
And doubt shrouds the windows of my soul
With hands folded and eyes shut
I turn to the master , hoping he will unfold
the mysteries that I cannot fathom ,
the answers I cannot find ….
I surrender all my worries in song
and it lulls the confusion in my mind
    He holds my groping hands
and leads me into the light
His gift of peace calms down the storm
and pandemonium does take flight .
R…. I pray and sing and it helps me think clearly again .

    1. Oh Pri, such beautiful words, perfect for a post !!! I loved it and read it all over again. Singing, praying and keeping all your worries at “his” feet is something that my mom always does. Prayer definitely clears the cobwebs of our minds. Thanks P for sharing your input.:)

      1. You’re post made me think. I was told five years ago , I couldn’t be a mom ( not the natural way ) . It took every bit of strength to come to terms with that and I couldn’t think straight for years . All I did each time I was low and in the dumps and each time people bombarded me with suggestions , is that I’d pray for peace and the power to accept myself . A month ago I found out a little miracle was in store for me , 8 years of placing my worries and doubts into His hands 🙂 amidst disbelief and fears of the varied complications and the small battles my husband and I have to win everyday , I have moments of confusion almost every hour …I could relate to your post so much . It’s very personal but I felt like sharing this . Bless you .

      2. You are a very brave woman P. A perfect example that steadfast faith in “him” can bring about a miracle. I am so glad that both of you braved the period of turmoil so well and your prayers have been answered. Congratulations dear. I am sooooooo happy for you. Take care. Lots of Love and best wishes to you ❤

  3. Think of something else. Go for a walk. Play a musical instrument if you can or listen to some soft music. If nothing else simply start writing something totally unrelated. As they say, too much of thought sometimes jams our minds. Let it free and it will be rejuvenated for decisions to make. ☺

  4. we all get so much confused in our thoughts that we ourselves block fresh new energy to enter into us. We need to take a break, deviate our mind from the problem, then meditate/ pray or anything which could make us ease. These will improve our mind and get back with better perspective 🙂

    1. Maybe today’s stressful lifestyles and time constraints, all complicate our thoughts on an issue which needs a quick decision. Taking a break and diverting the mind for some time and coming back to it later, works for me as well. Thanks Elaine for sharing your perspective on this 🙂

      1. yes yes…for me a few days stay at my home will naturally get my mind back to balance 🙂
Those days, very less use of phone, more food, more time with family, no travel, more books and more sleep 🙂

  5. I prefer to get myself a glass of water and calm down my mind and think how can the confusion be tackled. If i am way too stressed, i will try to divert my mind in some other interesting things.
Loved the way you expressed! 🙂

    1. Yes Dee ,that happens to me at times. Later when I calmly analyse the situation, I have so much more clarity. I wonder why it ditched me when I needed it? I guess at that time there were more ripples in my mind and clarity befriends only a calm mind.:)

  6. First of all ….stop thinking too much of it…leave the problem aside for sometime. …after mind gets fresh again …rethink of the solution. ..don’t keep the problem for yourself …discuss it with seniors and older people…get their views …find the best solution

    1. I remember going around in a maze house once, without any sense of direction, but ultimately did manage to come out of it 😉😉.
Maybe that applies to situations too. Interesting!! Thank you Shefali for sharing your thoughts.😊

  7. thought provoking verse there …power-packed words too! I think our mind finds its own way out depending on the situation…. many a times it happened that I realized it all later only in retrospection …. guess writing, expressions through various art forms are all ways of dealing with it!

      1. I would always go with the flow of the heart.. agreed it can not sustain the onslaught of the logical mind…but then it also accommodates humanity in its journey

  9. Oh yes! I have been there and every time I think I need to work on being calmer, cooler and more composed. At least, a control over my emotional self will actually help me think clearly and find a solution or a probable answer to the problem. Every problem has a solution, it is up to you to be able to decide on what suits you and the situation best.
