Once again a big thank you to Sasha for nominating me for the 3 day quote challenge. Here is the final one!
It’s all about Money! Unfortunately our society defines a person’s success by his wealth. Of course, one can’t deny the fact that money is important to lead a decent life. But the question is how much? Keeping pace with the constant struggle to earn more, saps one’s energy. Trapped in a viscous circle of earning more and spending more, one is unable to break free!
Each individual needs to make a choice of what is more important to him. In the constant grind of life, people miss out on the small joys of life. Such simple pleasures , add a beautiful dimension to life, which even the richest man cannot buy. One needs to experience and feel them. Take a pause and indulge in those joys which money can’t buy. For everything else there is Master Card………. 😉
Agree! Money can make life comfortable but can not buy peace of mind or happiness of heart!
We can lead a much more better life if we all start giving value to all these little things which are priceless…

It was on a cool morning of 31 Dec 1963 . The venue was the parade ground, at Air Force Station, Begumpet, in Secunderabad. The occasion was the passing out parade of cadets, who had successfully completed their flying training in the National Defense Academy at Kharakvasla, and Air force flying college , Begumpet. .I was one of the the privileged cadets being commissioned as pilot officers in the Indian Air Force.
After the investiture ceremony, when the rank badge and the the wings were pinned on our uniform, the Chief of the Air staff , addressed us, The words he said still ring in my ears.
He said ” Gentlemen, I congratulate you on this occasion. It gives me great pleasure and pride to see you as officers in the I.A.F., wearing the rank badge and the wings. Let me tell you something which i would like you to remember as officers in the Air Force. You have worked hard, to earn these wings. Remember that no amount of gold in the world can give you these wings you are wearing, and no amount of gold can take them from you.”
It has been more than half a century since i heard those words ..Now, in my autumn years, at the end of the road, i still recall the value of those words.
For all the gold in Fort Knox, i am not going to part with the moment when time stood still for me on the cool morning of 31st Dec,1963 in the parade ground, in Begumpet.

Such profound words and absolutely true. Those wings for which you worked so hard, the feeling of ecstasy on flying in the open expanse of the blue sky, the respect you earned of your country men for the glorious service to the nation, no amount of money can buy it. Proud of you Dad😍😍👍

Great to know that you love quotes. They convey so much in just a few sentences isn’t it. Just take up a quote and write your feelings about it Aruna. That will make a lovely post. Thanks for your words😊
