via Daily Prompt: Overwhelming
Flipping through an old diary,
glanced upon a dried rose,
buried under the soiled pages.
It opened floodgates of memories,
overwhelmed by a sea of emotions,
reminiscing the beautiful love story,
of stolen moments spent with each other ,
hidden from the prying eyes.
The long letters exchanged,
promises made for a lifetime together!
Alas, fate dealt a cruel blow,
making you only a beautiful memory!
Beautifully expressed Radhika 👌

You write so very beautifully Radhika. I love this poem, memories have indeed so much power. I find it lovely that we both wrote on memories this week end ❤

Beautiful and marvelling at your brevity…the brilliant choice of words..although a tragic tale of romance..did enjoy the piece

mind mood and memory can be shattering,; the only healing factor can be time.
Emotionally expressed poem by you, again translated into Hindi would be “Gulazaric”
Araz karta hun” Jo apne inspire kiya…..The time to meet , tweet and part….is the tale of many a broken Heart”……Adab……..
