When thoughts refuse to befriend
and ideas shy away from you,
the mind goes blank,
like a clean slate.
Unfortunately the markets don’t sell them,
nor do the online portals!
The fodder for your writing
is your own creation.
Embark on a pursuit of thoughts
in books, people or places.
Let them tickle the thought process.
Get inspired by nature,
sedate the confused ripples.
It’s then, the ideas sprout
to spill a riot of words.
Gently sort and dress them
to create magic with ink!
Beautiful Radhika and yes once u sit quietly and r one with nature your thoughts flow and flow. So lovely words. Great 👍👌👌👌👌👌👌

Books, people and places can be great sources of inspiration. Like many others, I really do find communing with nature an instant source of inspiration.
I love the way you expressed it: “let it tickle your thoughts…” So appealing to the senses that it diminishes the “block” right away! 🙂

When you try to be prolific, it is quite natural to look for new ideas yet they elude because ideas are like clouds and all days are not alike. 🙂

That is creativity that has spilled out of a writers block, my favorite poet!
Every time I finish one post, I wonder what I will write next, at times I stay blank for longer periods than expected and then out of the blue, a poem, a story, a fellow blogger drops a hint that will get the mind busy and my fingers flying! Just glad I am not alone there.
