The doctor had given up all hope on her ailing child. The mother brought her son out for dinner, probably their last meal together!

A touching story. It makes me shudder to think of the end. Love and attachment can be very tricky.

Yes Vishal. It is devastating.
Sometimes I wonder on life and death, news that one keep hearing. My next post will be related to that and the need for us to be happy, enjoying every second.
Life is so unpredictable. So always look out for those small joys and happiness in daily life.
Looking forward to your next post Vishal!
It’s so true Radhika:) We need to make the most of life and one day will dawn on us for not making the most.

You’re absolutely right….
Thank you Riffat!
Truly it is!
Like you mentioned in a previous comment, no mother should ever go through this!
Very touchy one.
Yes Jyotirmoy. Sometimes life is very harsh!
Touching! It makes me feel bad and regretful altogether. 😐😞
Glad that my story could convey that emotion Bhavika.
Wish there’s a miracle and the child is saved.
Hope is what we all hold on to, in such trying times.
Yes rightly said Mam.
This one is sad….I wish the ending is different than expected…I hope this is not the last meal…there should be many more meals to come
Yes, I too hope for the same Balaka.
Amazingly touching write up using so less words…kudos
An emotional read… perfectly written…
Oh, those are very very painful words. A meal I wish no one, no mother and son, will have to endure
It is heartbreaking for the entire family.
What could be more tragic than losing a child! I wish no mother ever has to go through this!
Amen to that wish Shaloo.
Quite emotional. Especially a mother and a child’s relationship portrays the purest form of love.
Yes Sheetal, true!
How have you been? Missing your posts.
I am doing fine di. Just busy nowadays. 🙂 What about you? 🙂
Am doing good dear ☺️
Nice to hear that. 🙂
It is so painful !
Yes. Tragic and painful!

Thank you Madhusudan 🙂

Thank you Moushmi!
It’s really difficult to judge what must be going in the mind of mother …heart wrenching
Only pain and grief!
How’s you Dear Radhika Di.😊.? ..I wasn’t well during last 15 days .
…thank God I got well just before the first day of my college.
Oh! Glad that you recovered in time. Wishing you all the best for the new semester 😊💖
Thank you Radhika Di. ..hope your daughters school must also have been re-opened …There’s lot of activity before the school re-opened. ..new books , new note books , new bag, new raincoat , I still remember I used to put on brown paper covers on my books and notebooks…my father used to do it when I was small latter on I learnt it from him …the schools first day was always an exciting one…new friends and new class teacher 😊
Yes Kiran , her school has reopened. Luckily her school doesn’t insist on covering the books with brown paper. So I am spared of the tedious chore.😁
How sweetly you tell this tale. We cherish simple moments even in the midst of great sorrow. ❤️
Thank you Kat. 💖
Sad but lovely 🙂
Thank you Arlene!!
Just 7 characters short to perfection! ☺
Understandably, nobody is perfect. Yet this is a very well-written response to a challenge I might say 👍👍
Still a long way for me to reach perfection Andrei. ☺️
You’re on the way there Radhika ☺
Thanks for the encouragement Andrei 😊
Always welcome ☺
A touching one…and nicely done as always. It’s not easy to tell a story in 140 characters… 🙂
Thanks Mani. Have very recently tried my hand at attempting micro fiction!

Two sentences and there is a complete story there. Well done!
