WordPress Woes!

Hi all,

Wanted some help from all of you on WordPress updates/glitches.

  1. Since the last week or so, I am unable to like any comment on other’s post on the mobile app. The phone only gives me the option to reply to them. I have to log in through my laptop for the same.
  2. Another fellow blogger said that she is not able to like or comment on any of my posts through her phone. With other blogs she is still able to do it.
  3. All the posts of the blogs I follow, do not appear on my reader many a time. So I miss out on reading some wonderful posts by you all.

If any of you could enlighten me as to why I am facing these issues, would be grateful.

  3. Write to support@akismet.com, and bash them completely, I did that, for your spam comments, approving them automatically unspam them
    , tap the w icon the app, and then tap view admin, open it via chrome, check comments and approve spammed comments of the bloggers it would automatically unspam them, peace.

  5. I too face the same problems. When I try to ‘like’ or comment, I am sometimes asked to log in and sometimes I can do so just by clicking on the ‘like’. When I try to log in I am told the password, though correct. The ‘forgot’ pwd option to reset shows an error message – saying the pwd/user name is wrong.
    I thought this was because I access my mails on five different devices – two smartphones, a laptop, an iPad and an iPod as i shuffle begtween two homes and do not always carry the laptop. However I am able to post only from my laptop and one of the 2 phones. Some days I was locked out of my own blog.
    At 75 I am unable to master the technology. An older friend said he had posted some comments but they never appeared – even in the spam. Any solution to th.e problem is welcome

    1. First of all, hats off to you Someswarji to be able to use technological devices with so much ease. Not many people are able to do that at your age. At times I feel WP is very moody and unpredictable like a woman. Just not possible to understand how it works.😉
      Jokes apart, will definitely keep you posted in case I find an answer to the problem.

  6. You know Radhika, I think we all are facing similar problems with WordPress and we seriously do not know what to do. Even there is no help writing to them on their email. So many of our comments are going in spam folder and even the other way. No solution at all. I hope someone could help us.

    1. Sometime back, when I had faced a problem, I had raised the question with the admin/ technical support team. But they were unable to help me. That’s why this time I thought of reaching out to fellow bloggers for help before asking them.

      1. Ya same here too, Radhika. I too had done that but no result. I think we are thousands and thousands of WordPress users so that is why there must be some problem in their servers but they need to check it and let us know the solution.

  8. I too face the same issue, being a App Developer too, I feel they might have some bugs, you can report them in the play store and hope they might fix it, I expect a fix from them soon.Wordpress app might get updated and it will go away. I think recent update has some bugs.

      1. Yes I feel so, WordPress guys might have a team who are using this app as well, and they might have informed by now. May be in a day or soon we will get

  17. I guess there was/is some problem that even I did not understand. For the past few days even I am not able to comment on anyone else’s posts, they were automatically going to spam!
    I guess writing to the support team will be the ultimate solution if it doesn’t get solved. But today, all my comments are being posted except for one or two, so I guess it is improving.

  18. I have faced same situation .My blogger friend was not able to comment on my post and my few post went to spam .Update WordPress,it has akismet system ,to check and monitise spam messages too.hope it will help mam

  24. I, too, am having issues with my WordPress blog. I am new to blogging so there is so much to learn, but my sitr completely crashed the other day. WordPress is working to fix it, but it may take a few days. I’m frustrated, but trying to be patient. 🙋🐦
