Haiku/Tanka – Autumn & Leaves

In response to Colleen’s weekly poetry challenge Autumn & Leaves. But this time there is a twist. We are allowed only to use the synonyms of the prompt words. I’ve written a haiku and tanka this time.

Haiku

The crisp gust of fall

drifts the  blades from a rustle

to a twirling dance

Tanka

Browns, reds and yellows

a carpet of vibrant fronds

scatter lazily

compose a lyrical theme

swaying to the fall rhythm.
