Daily Prompt – Cozy!

Lost in a dreamy slumber

snuggling under the blanket

in the warmth of the cozy bed,

the cocoon of Β the lulling reverie

shattered by the shrill of the alarm

to be snoozed, until it loses patience

and goes off again, its ire more obvious!

Oh, it is such a gigantic effort

to get out of bed on a cold winter morn!

Its so hard to get out of bed in general loool! Really liked the line ‘cocoon of the lulling reverie.’ Slumber ignites all our dreams, or even just laying there in the darkness of closed lids still awake.

Radhika, how I recognise your dilemma ..minus the alarm.. ( I use music to ease the wake up moment ). Then dash up to put the heating quite high and back under the blankets again for a little. Until breakfast and coffee get too tempting.

I guess many of us can relate to it Miriam. Each of us finding our own way to pull ourselves out of the comfort of our warm bed πŸ™‚

I am the type of person who has multiple alarms because I sleep again right after my first alarm goes off. It’s sooo hard to get out of bed; beautifully written depiction of the struggle!

Aha! Beautifully adorned words on the abhorred alarm that wrecks our eyes and head with some bizarre sounds, Radhika. And, we get up languishing on the productive sleep loss in the cozy winter to snuggle with comfort. Happy New Year, Radhika.

I totally agree with you, Radhika. As of now, the toughest part of my morning is to just pull myself out of bed and this holiday season only makes it all the more difficult. At least I am glad I am not alone πŸ˜‰

That’s really nice Bhavana. Otherwise a considerable chunk of time goes in waking them up in the morning ( without losing our cool πŸ˜‰)!
