This time I am attempting a twin Sidlak, bringing out the opposites faces of the sea. Looking forward to your feedback.
#1

Slothful sea
echoes idling waves
ebbing gently on the shore
muted tides entrance the dreamy eyes
reflecting the blue expanse in a gentle harmony!
#2

Enraged sea
swollen with ire
thunderous rumbles lash out
monstrous waves building a crescendo
the grey sea sings a tempestuous opera !
Sidlak poetry (sid/lak) is a structured poetry consisting of 5 lines with 3-5-7-9 syllables AND A COLOR. The last line must be a COLOR that describes the whole poem or the feelings of the writer.
Beautifully described the two states of the Sea.
Bringing it into the fold of a sidlak is an arduous task.
Congrats Radhika

Beautifully described the two faces to sea. You have done an excellent job of writing the sidlak. Writing poetry within the predefined structure is still a challenge to me.

The two opposite facets of sea beautifully expressed. I really admire your sidlaks and haikus. Writing within a predefined structure is quite a challenge and you are pretty good at it.

How many syllables in the fifth line ?

Last line there is no restriction on syllables. It should have a colour and depict the essence of the poem.

Describing two polarities within the restricted framework is quite a task and you have made it seem so simple and effortless. It brings out so beautifully, both the emotional facets of the mighty water body. Well done, Radhika 👍

Contrast and comparison two faces of same ocean. Beautifully described.
We all are made up of this contrast sometimes calm sometimes fierce. You brought it so beautifully ⚘

Just like nature we too have two faces to our personality. Real growth and maturity makes us retain our calm persona amidst challenges! Thanks for sharing your thoughts Meenakshi 😊

The two different shades of the sea. Nature can sometime be as calm and soothing but other times in a fit of rage swallow lives, break hearts and bridges – just as we humans do.
