In response to secretkeeper’s weekly writing challenge #127, to use the 5 prompt words in a poem or fiction.
Scream|Urge|Wish|Send|Crave

Peals of laughter, naughty pranks,
trivial fights, instant forgiveness,
splashing puddles ,screams of joy,
ink stained fingers, crayoned walls,
idling afternoons, comics unlimited
craving for sweetmeats, raiding the kitchen,
insatiable questions, dreams to reach for the sky,
scraped knees, countless friends
tiny delights, miniscule grudges,
vivid imagination, creative minds,
ingenious games, smiling faces,
simple wishes, innocent hearts,
Oh! With the fragrance that emanates from the carefree souls,
the urge to travel back to the kaleidoscopic world,
sends me on a nostalgic reminiscence,
of treasured memories of childhood days!
Beautifully written.

The wonderful, colorful, beautiful. happy childhood days. So full of activity and wonder. Wonder where all that fun just vanished as we step into the seriousness and monotony of adulthood. Luckily we still have children who continue to color their world and ours.

Oh yes. But today’s children’s childhood is eclipsed to a large extent by gadgets , which thankfully was absent during our growing up days.😒

And we saw the world with real eyes. Lost in the glare of the technological revolution, sometimes I myself forget the simplicity that we enjoyed.
