The world cup cricket finals..

one run to win…. pin drop silence in the stadium,

last ball of the match,

hit up high,

straight to the fielder….. and dropped!!!!

Century and a win….  a deafening applause to the double bonanza!

Woah Radhika you have set the visual mood of a nerve-racking final. It brought me back to that tensed final against SL when we were made WC champion in 2011.

Wow what a beautiful prompt, Radhika and you brought out the tenseness that always happens on the Cricket field when there is always a team who needs to win. Great poem.

The screaming silence before that one run and the electric tension about the field, and then the joy of victory! Creative, Radhika.
