A couple though not perfect in all ways, yet foster a bond of a life time together. Today unfortunately it is very rare to find couples who have aged gracefully in their relationship together. The love still remains strong despite the ups and downs of life.

Grey haired, hand in hand together they look back with a smile at the beautiful memories they created together. There is a tremendous amount of contentment in such a relationship

In Sanskrit the term guru connotes someone who is a guide, or a master in a certain field of knowledge. Like a guidepost, he inspires his disciples, dispels darkness of ignorance, guiding them towards light. He helps discover the immense potentiality within themselves. Today, it is increasingly referred as seers who carry the message of truth for humanity.

Day 26 – Affectionate Love!

Feeling elated that I have come so far in this beautiful Valentines Special series. Happy that I have found lots of love from all of you.

Affectionate love occurs when an individual cares deeply for another person and likes to be close to that person. Affection is a kind of love that keeps you safe and cared for. It must be a key ingredient in a healthy relationship between partners, family and friends.

Day 25 – Crush!

With just a few more days to go on the Valentine Special series, do stick around with your support and love.

A crush can be a feeling of love or very strong admiration for someone, often when you know you cannot have a relationship with that person. It is a kind of infatuation for a short time. It is generally a superficial emotion, though can be intense at times.  Generally one develops a crush for an extremely good looking person or a famous personality.

Day 24 -Love for one’s health!

Our body is an amazing machinery that we are blessed with, still many of us choose to ignore its upkeep. No machine can be more complex than it. Yet we abuse it with erratic habits, deluge of junk and a lifestyle full of stress.  For our body to run efficiently till it reaches its final destination, it is imperative we love and respect our body immensely, invest wisely in it in the form of healthy diet, active lifestyle, exercise regime and positive vibes. It is bound to reward us with a happy and healthy life.

Day 23 – Sibling love!

With a few more days of this beautiful valentine special series to go, I do hope you continue to shower your love and support  till the very end.

One of the most enduring relationship is the one shared by siblings.  During childhood there is a love hate kinship between them. There is a fair amount of arguments, at times they drive you insane, play pranks on one another yet with time, this bond transforms into one of sharing, caring, love and respect for each other.

Unbreakable bond

secured with love, laughter, pranks

a timeless treasure!

Some interesting quotes I came across on siblings:

“Children of the same parents, each of whom is normal, until they get together!”

“The only enemy that you can’t live without”. ( Was reminded of Tom and Jerry, who fight like crazy, yet can’t live without each other) 😉

Take a nostalgic trip back in time with your siblings and share anecdotes , pranks and incidents that you recall today, with lot of fondness.

Day 22 – Self love!

Continuing the series on Valentines Special, today I bring to you the importance of loving oneself.

Buddha says, “You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection”.

We love so many people in the world, our family, spouse, friends etc. It is said that, you can’t love another, if you don’t love yourself. Self-love is very important to living well. When we love ourselves, we tend to be less critical, accept our weakness and strengths with ease and forgive ourselves. All this is vital for our emotional well being and growth.

A self appraisal

embrace the imperfections

amply love thyself.

Day 21 – Love for work!

I have reached the final week of my journey on the Valentine Special. Hope you are enjoying it. Do stay with me till the very end. 🙂

You must have come across a few people love their work. If one can make one’s passion his profession, then without a doubt each day is a pleasurable experience. Many detest their work, while a few like it or tolerate it or just carry on with it. It’s a huge blessing to fall in love with your work.

As Maya Angelou says, “You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don’t make money your goal. Instead pursue the things you love doing and then do them so well that people can’t take their eyes off you”!

Day 20 – Romantic Love!

Continuing the Valentine Special series, each day of the month, I will highlight a different facet of love in the form of a haiku. Hope you will continue your support with just one more week to go 🙂

Romantic lovers can’t just stop thinking about each other. They always try to make the moments together extra special with gifts, candle light dinners, flowers, poetry etc. A lot of thought goes into even the small details. Couples have different ideas of romance. But generally, they do and share lot of things, making use of their time together to the fullest. Romance makes love all the more special ❤ !

Day 19 – Puppy Love!

Continuing the Valentine Special series, each day of the month, I will highlight a different facet of love in the form of a haiku. Hope you stay with me throughout this month long journey with all your support and love.

Puppy love is the feeling of love felt for each other especially during the adolescence or teenage years. It mostly is short term and fades away as they grow older. It is named Puppy love for its affection and adoration felt like that of a puppy. Here the youngster feels an intimate emotion for a person outside of the family.
