In response to Kat’s twittering tale #132, to write a tale in 280 letters or less.
My car broke down, my phone was dead. Stranded in an area away from civilization, I started walking to find help. Suddenly spotted a payphone. I prayed and inserted a coin. Couldn’t believe my luck when I heard the dial tone. But darn…
I couldn’t remember a single number!
Letter count : 278
True and this is what one feels when you are nervous and darn nothing works even the pay phones. Very nicely written with the picture, Radhika.

I remember moms memory for numbers, she used to have them at her finger tips…With the advent of mobiles, comes your story to say, we are all in the same boat as far as remembering numbers go 😀

True Deepika. The generation before the advent of smart phones had a very sharp memory. Smart phones have ensured that we no longer remain smart 😀.

Oh my! This makes me realize that I don’t remember a single contact number. Must memorize at least that of my family. This is what smartphones have done to us!

Yes I do accept smartphone does so much of help. I said that due to one of my recent experience, otherwise technology is about how we use it.

Yes of course. But I think it is largely responsible be for failing memory as the phone does everything for us.

Sadly with the mobile phones around we stopped memorising the numbers …so this tale can very well be a reality!!

I guess many have found themselves in such situations, unable to recall the numbers, which before the advent of mobilea they had it all memorised!
