Happy Diwali!

IMG_20161030_183925392

This Diwali, lets make a difference!

Lets clear the obscurity that shrouds the mind

infuse it with a scent of gratitude.

Let the joyous mirth transcend

to light up our hearts with a luminous aura.

It’s time we pledge to stay away from crackers

but ensure to burst our inflated ego,

filing it with a liberal dose of humility.

Lets ignite the lamp of our soul

to be a beacon of light, in the darkness

emitting rays of hope shining bright.

Lets make this Diwali a special one,

upholding the spirit of the festival

with the triumph of good over evil.

Let the sparkle from the illuminations

brighten humanity with warm vibes.

This Diwali lets make a difference!!

A very Happy Diwali to all my blogger friends!

A little late but Deepawali greetings Radhika!
This time we didn’t buy any crackers and no fried snacks, not even homemade. It was difficult but I am glad that I managed to fulfil this kind of obstinacy.

That is so wonderful Deeksha. I am glad your family supported you in this. We have stopped bursting crackers since the last 10 years now. Sweets are always homemade. I do try to stick to simple healthy versions as far as possible.

Ten years…. that’s quite an achievement!!
We stopped three years ago but this was the first time I decided to have β€˜no fried stuff’ deepawali. I was not sure if it would be possible, but I am glad that we all succeeded!!
But now very soon as a reward I need to do some fried stuff for everyone πŸ˜‚πŸ˜

Belated Diwali Radhika. Such a beautifully written poem about the festival of lights spreading happiness and yes crackers should definitely be banned. I am against it completely.

Thank you Vishal. Though there is awareness against the use of crackers, i was appalled to see the people’s frenzy on Diwali night with it. The horizon was enveloped with a thick blanket of smoke.

Happy belated Diwali to you. What a poetic tapestry you’ve wonderfully woven. Thanx for all you do. Here’s my latest twig of poetree on Diwali πŸ™‚

    Even Shadow Speaks of Light

Earthen formed, as clay, my bodhi,

Deeba, with inner wick always lite,

Oli, light of thee light, sits.

Thrilled to read your great site, also. Have a good day πŸ™‚ reality
