When choices confront me
and it is decision time,
paranoia sets in.
I rummage through the anxious moments,
begin a futile exercise of
coping with a barrage of insecurities,
indecisiveness,
hesitation,
confusion,
procrastination….
What if I make a wrong choice?
A conundrum which has no answer,
the debate between the voices of
the heart and the mind
leaves little scope
to navigate through the labyrinth of thoughts.
Pondering,
contemplating,
deliberating,
the pros and cons.
Finally, I decide
come back to it tomorrow.
Sadly,
decision making has never been my forte!

The more you think, the more confusing it gets!

I hate when I get that feeling but good thing I’m half and half, sometimes conviction grips me and sometimes it’s uncertainty.

Yes, the choice of neither. Unfortunately I do this often, too. Love this part:

Thanks Benjamin. I am always in awe of people who have so much clarity of thought. With some decisions, whether I should heed to the heart’s voice or the mind, always troubles me.

Exactly; I feel this same way often. Perhaps part of it is wanting to make the right choice, if such a thing is possible. But maybe, on the other hand, there is no wrong choice if you’re following your heart and mind. Both have equal merit. But that again brings us back to “This or That?”. It’s a never-ending cycle. But I hope you can find the clarity to make the choices that will neither trouble your heart or mind.
