Lovely pics Radhika 💖 Auroville is a fascinating example of light sustainable living. I always wanted to walk around there to understand the place a bit more, driving through till the visitor center is just not the same experience. These pictures give more insight. I am particularly intrigued by the accommodations which seem hidden from the road, going into bends. Need too plan a visit again after 🦠 epidemic, thanks for sharing 🙂

My wife had wanted to learn blue pottery making there in 98 but there was a wait list of 2 years. Then she decided to act.
When I visited Auroville some years back I told my son: If MA had gone there she would never have come back 😊

This is very interesting about blue pottery Ashok ji, need to check it next time. We also went to the ashram. Pondicherry overall was nice, but Auroville is amazing.

There was a German or Swiss couple who used to teach this art at Auroville Deb.

Absolutely Deb. The walk felt so connected with nature, experiencing it’s raw beauty. We had been there just a week before the lockdown. Unlucky that we couldn’t go inside the Matrimandir as bookings were full for the time we were there. So we walked up till it’s periphery and spent some time there. It was an absolutely wonderful feeling. 😊

Radhika, I looked up the word “scabrous” and found it meant just what i expected. Still, I wondered about why you used it until I saw the photos…beauty without pretense, unmanicured. More interesting than landscaped gardens, Character of the plants is inspiring! Beautiful. ❤ Cheryl
