Mired in a labyrinth,
a constant battle ensues
keeping pace with
each passing moment.
Fraught with the burden of
schedules and targets
payments and presentations
books and exams,
digital inundation,
competing with the
frenzy of the ticking clock
pressure mounts.
Often,
the emotional dam bursts,
a deluge of chaos transpires.
Evanescent,
time lures us
into its deceptive loop.
Life shrinks
as # deadline is trending now!

Radikha, I know the clock is not our enemy, but sometimes it seems that way! π
As always, a beautifully written poem. Most people can probably relate to this.
Have a great day! Cheryl

Yes, a constant pressure to keep up with the demands of the material aspects of life. Consequently we lose out on life itself.

Yes, sadly most part of our life goes in trying to deal with the pressure. Thanks for sharing your feedback Sangita π

Haha, nice portrayal of everyday life struggles, especially dealing with the pressures of the approaching deadlines. βkeeping pace with each passing moment.β this seems to be where we are all at, quite a conundrum to both live life fully and keep up with the time. A Beautiful Poem Radhika!

Powerful piece. Powerful ending. One of the hardest things to do is remove ourselves from the stress of deadlines; it takes a lot of mental strength and flexibility.

Oh yes, it takes immense strength to stay clear from the stress that emanates, in trying to keep up with the deadlines, which seem to define our life today. Thanks Ben!!

Can relate a bit too strongly to this, having signed off from work just 30 mins back π madness traded in name of deadlines.
Beautifully worded, nice, crisp, decisive and with enough trending touch of corporate keywords to make into a companyβs mission statement βΊοΈ and god forbid if this falls into a project managers hands, to be used to motivate the team duringβ¦ Deadlines π

Haha! Thanks Deb. I agree the corporate world is ruthless in terms of meeting the deadlines, robbing its employees of all sanity.
Enjoy your weekend now. Hope you have a relaxed one π

Living life like thereβs a deadline is very unhealthy and toxic. Youβll totally miss out on everything. Itβs like sleeping through the long ride towards your destination and you missing out on the beautiful journey.
