Radhika, beautiful haiku! Wonderful photo. We have many very old banyan trees in Florida. The inventor, Thomas Edison, planted some at his summer home, laboratory, and gardens, where they can still be seen. I think they may have been imported from India. 🙂
Thanks for sharing this bit of information Cheryl.
Yes, we have many Banayan trees in India which are centuries old. They look so majestic. Have a lovely day 💖
Wonderful Haiku Radhika!! I have many of memories sittkng under the banyon trees in Hawaii. that are ancient and rooted in such ancient wisdom. Do you know where this one comes from?
❤️ Cindy
Yes, there is so much energy from the Banyon tree and I love how strong their root that hang are! Is there any particular meaning about them and what they represent? Wow, you too a phenomenal picture! So well captured! ❤️
Ahh yes, the sacred banyan trees! We saw one during a field trip in school. One tree symbolized so much for that entire village community. I love the haiku! Beautiful writing as always. ❤️❤️❤️
Well written Radhika, deep rooted and everlasting bond indeed! We have Dodda Alada Mara in outskirts of Bangalore, is it that one in the photo, or some other Banyan tree?
Wow👏👏👏

That’s nice Cindy. Here in India it is considered very sacred. This one was clicked by me on the outskirts of Chennai, a southern state in India.
