Dusk explodes across the horizon
as the waning rays of the sun, bids adieu for the day,
with a burst of blazing orange inferno,
as the aqua waters, drink in its feral beauty.
Standing by the silhouette of the lighthouse,
I scan the horizon till its periphery,
to absorb the beauty of this ephemeral artistry,
before the tableau of hues,
is devoured by the inky darkness.
“… to absorb the beauty of this ephemeral artistry” oh yes a perfect description 💜

That is such a beautiful setting, which reminds me of some of the most glorious that I’ve seen. However, your words have also painted a beautiful picture. So much so, I wish you would have shown the image after the poem. Simply praise for your words. 🙂

Experienced today a horrifying side of nature too. The sky was about to wear colors after a whole night of thunder and storm but in the morning we all are shaking…it was the biggest earthquake I have ever seen and then 11aftershock. Seeking Marcy from mother nature.

Oh my god. It must have been so terrifying. But glad that you are all ok. We should seek mother nature’s benevolent grace on us. Take care Rosida ❤️

Yes, it was terrible. Still, there is a chance for more jolt. Hope everything will be fine with the grace of Almighty🙏💫 First Covid and then the earthquake, people are 😨
Is the covid situation under control in your place? Stay safe.

Back in November 2020, I wrote a short short titled “The Lighthouse” – a tale of love centred around an ancient wooden lighthouse located in West Bengal during the Moghul era. Your poetry reminded me of my story. You can read the story at: https://storynookonline.com/2020/11/07/the-lighthouse/
