Each dawn brings with it a gift of a new day,
spectral rays paint the earthen canvas with vernal colors.
Seasonal changes alter the composition
yet, weaves a cohesive mural of the landscape,
singing a song of nature’s soul.
Today I walk down the memory lane
when your birth brought in unbridled joy.
Iridescent hues of your facet brightened my life.
Despite the differences, our bond matured with a homogenous spirit,
singing a song of enduring love.
Nature, whose visage keeps changing with time, showcases a different seasonal look. Yet from its soul, emanates the same essence of organic feel. Likewise, the relationship between a mother and daughter has streaks of emotional highlights. They may have their moments of ups and downs, yet they are bound together by a strong bond of love. Time may change their look and perspective, but in both cases, their soul sings the same song.
Sadje’s WDYS prompt #100
Fantabulous, Mam! This is just oozing beauty. I’m quite sure the 8th wonder of the world is mother’s love.

Essence of the beauty of nature so well composed, Radhika. I completely agree the bond between daughter and mother is very different from a son. There is a saying that goes, Daughter is daughter throughout her life but a son is a son till he gets a wife.

I love the comparisons you make between changes in nature’s seasons, likened to artist developing a composition, and changes in a relationship. It really works well, Radhika!

As a father, I’ve always been aware of the different relationships my wife and I had with our daughters. Different, but important in their own way. A beautiful piece.
Here’s mine!

Rightly said Keith. The relationship may be different with each parent but nonetheless beautiful and special in their own way. Thanks Keith. Will head to yours.

I love this poem. I have recently realised that I’m more inclined to my mother in means of emotional bond. These days I give her a lot of advice since she shares everything that happens at her workspace. It’s more like a daughter caring a mother, things have changed so much.
So beautifully written ❤️

That is so nice to hear Hema. I guess when daughters grow up, they become more of a friend with their mother. They understand things from a woman’s perspective and connect better at an emotional level. Thanks dear and keep that bond with your mom going strong ❤️
