Our love blossomed floral foliage,
resplendent with vernal scents.
Animated hearts hummed sanguine tunes,
life reveled under a canopy of euphoria.
And then windmills of change rattled a strife,
a squall of distrust blew whorls of inky smoke
suffocating me in virulent fumes.
Fidelity eclipsed felicity,
my bruised heart bled red.
I patched up my wounded heart with a promise
to let it remain vacant forever.
Ah we all have gone through that; a bruised heart and a promise to self to never let the empty heart make room for another. You write so beautifully!

Aww..I hope it’s a passing phase to keep the heart out of love.
Deeply hurt, I guess, hope it heals fast and makes room to experience true love.
Beautifully crafted poem 👌❤️
