A to Z Challenge 2022 – Nature and I

The parade of swaying blossoms always gladdens the heart. Irrespective of their size, color or shape, they are pretty sights to behold. The swollen buds, unfurl exquisite symmetry of petals interwoven with delicate grace. They infuse the air around with their sublime fragrance. Be it in a pot, a well curated garden or the wilderness, flowers bring untold bliss, by their mere presence.

I live in a city surrounded by ever growing concrete structures. The smoky polluted air often dampens my mood and spirits. But when I walk into my balcony, the motley of hues welcome me with a charming smile. I feel their spirited embrace envelope me, lifting up my spirits instantly. They enliven the otherwise insipid surroundings.

From the humdrum mundanity of, all we need to do is pause for a few minutes, hear these seraphic beauties speak in scented whispers and feel the gentle waft of happiness come our way.

Abloom!

From the rain drenched mud

rises a tiny bud,

its dormant beauty, encased within layers of green.

Radiant rays caress, prod it gently,

dewy drops, sprinkle showers of misty scents.

With a slow yawn, it awakens from its dreamy slumber

as the sounds of dawn play in chorus.

It unfurls its white silky petals

soaks in, the hues of a pastel palette,

sways to the balmy breeze, a lilac blush,

diffusing its ethereal fragrance.

Abloom, what a cheerful splendor!

Inspired by the lovely blooms in my pot!

WPC – Waiting

Waiting

for a new life to begin,

for the bud to blossom,

for the flame to burn,

for desires to be fulfilled,

for emerging the numero uno,

for the sun to rise,

for the phone to ring,

for a prayer to be answered,

for completion of a task,

for misunderstanding to clear,

for an approval,

for opportunity to knock!

Life is a constant wait for things,

sometimes long, sometimes short!

Enjoy the wait 🙂

As the tender buds

so delicately woven

unfurls its petals,

A floral blushing beauty,

Magical sight to behold!
