To Journey Within!

IC :google images

In life there comes a time, when there is a paradigm shift

the bucket is the same, only the list undergoes an overhaul.

From the materialistic, the focus shifts to the spiritual,

mind delves deeper, to find the meaning of life.

The soul wants to embark on a journey

to explore the realm of the cosmic plane.

Before the expected time of final destination arrives,

first on the list, is to awaken from the deep slumber of existing

in a rigmarole of societal pressure,

free oneself from the clutches of unending desires.

The goal now, is to travel inward,

listen to the silence, indulge in reflective conversations,

evolve to be an enlightened version of the self,

bask in the glory of the infinite light, to finally

experience the blessing and affluence of divine wealth.

The Metamorphosis!

Born with a silver spoon,

callous, cavalier attitude

defined his personality,

life, was sinful vulgar indulgence.

Until

 one incident radically transformed him.

Today,

he lives with his master in the distant hills

donating all his riches,

a new identity, pens  the next chapter,

gives renewed meaning to life

the debris of the past buried,

his soul brims with contentment

experiences abundance of spiritual wealth.

Day 2 – Divine Love!

Continuing the Valentine Special series,  each day of the month, I will highlight a different facet of love in the form of a haiku. Hope you stay with me throughout this journey with all your support and love.

In today’s world where the balance tilts in favor of the negatives, Divine love and worship is the sole power of energy that helps us put some semblance into the chaotic and toxic life that many of us lead.

“The greatest romance is with the Infinite.
You have no idea how beautiful life can be.
When you suddenly find God everywhere,
when He comes and talks to you and guides you,
the romance of divine love has begun.” Paramahamsa Yogananda.

A soul who immerses himself in true spiritual love for the divine, experiences a state of bliss, floating in the cosmic vibrations which brings in a sense of calm and peace to his persona. The ripples created by the noxious environment fail to disturb his mind, which is defined by tranquility. It ultimately grows and evolves to merge with the higher dimensions.

The Quest!

On a quest I set out

to find the elusive

without an idea

in which direction to head!

I see myself in the mirror

but know not who resides within me

his voice I do hear often

but know not how he looks!

I hear him at times so loud and clear

while at times just a careless whisper

His blessings clear my path clean

while at times warns to tread with caution!

I try to call out to him

but never shows himself

yet never lets my belief down

when the surrender is complete!

I visited my friend Riya one evening. She was all excited, wanting to share her experience at a recent meditation camp she attended. Enjoying a cup of freshly brewed coffee, we sat to talk about it. I wanted to get enlightened on it. I knew it! That I don’t know! The subject had always intrigued and fascinated me, so I was all ears to what she would share with me.

The two day workshop had opened up new vistas on her attitude towards life.  Her thought process and ability to take on challenges had undergone a paradigm shift, she said.

I have so many doubts regarding the right approach to embrace spirituality. I am always confused, should I sound or should I echo? I asked her.

She explained that the power of positive thoughts has a tremendous influence in shaping the flow of our life. To live a wholesome life, it is very essential to detox our minds of all negative thoughts and energy.

Meditation sedates the ripples of our mind. Though, I have heard a lot about meditation and the unparalleled benefits it offers, what is the right way of meditating, was my question to her.

Her answer was simple. Sit in a serene place and try to calm your mind. Watch your thoughts. They are like a slippery eel – Thoughts- they do what we don’t ask them to. Initially the thoughts will be many in number, disturbing you. At times, we pretend to think on one and actually think everything else.  But gradually you will be able to calm them. It may take time but do not lose patience.

She reiterated that regular practice of meditation and self-discipline prepares one to take on the trials we face with more composure. Many a time, life throws challenges at us and poses questions. Don’t be bogged down by them. You need not answer the questions. You can just laugh and laugh again. It helps us shift our focus from the trivial and mundane to more profound aspects of evolution.

It was a spiritually enlightening evening well spent. With a promise to dwell on this and start meditating, I left her place, until next time, Sayonara 🙂
