This week Ann Christine has invited us to share pictures of shades and shadows for the Lens Artist Photo Challenge # 152.
I am presenting a snapshot of pictures from Jaipur and Udaipur, two famous cities of Rajasthan, India!
A peek into the play between the Sun, shade and shadows which make an interesting story.
Folk singers delighting the crowd with their soulful singing!
A shot at my silhouette 🙂
At a local fair in Udaipur!
Dormant canon gun….Thank goodness, I don’t fire anymore 😉
Play of the sun and shadows on the old door!
Grace and rhythm in perfect sync!
Candid Conversations 🙂
Eastern sky glistens
the dreamy sea slumbers on
indolent waves ebb
golden sunshine smiles
sun-drenched tides unfurl magic
emits a bright trail
kisses the western skyline
lulls the blue expanse
weaves an endless saga of
dawn exalts a coral blush
mercury soars high
punctures the billowy clouds
casts a scorching gaze
the western skyline
brims with wisps of lavender
Fiery heat casts a spell
on the dreary summer noon
green grass withers a tan,
the branches stand still,
water bodies parched to death,
birds scurry to quench their thirst,
the cicada’s trill, echoes anguish
nature lies defeated,
devoid of life
burning under the raging sun!
The revolving orb spins around
announces the divine birth of dawn
a tint of scarlet blush emerges
behind the illuminated clouds
the darkness gently surrenders
to its ethereal glow
with a promise of a new day ahead!
In response to secretkeeper’s weekly writing prompt #123. The challenge is to use the 5 words below in a poem or fiction. This is the first time I am trying a Nonet.
(Nonet (9 – 8 – 7 – 6 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1) progression downward of syllables)
War and terror reign supreme today
barbarous acts tarnish life
books painted with violent blood
the sun stands a witness
to a shriveled world
consumed by hate,
I, me, mine
