In response to Colleen’s weekly poetry challenge # 67, I have written a tanka and a haiku.
The prompt words are play & guess, with the condition only to use their synonyms.
Tanka
Anxiety mounting
the match poised equally
deep speculation
the long battle continues
to ink the name as winners!
Haiku
Scope of mother’s love
impossible to fathom
deep rooted affair!
khubsurat tasveer aur poetry….

This is wonderful Radhika. You know I could never write haikus, I tried several times…..I really did….but could never succeed:)

Thank you so much Piyali :). Once you understand the breakup of syllables in a word, it is really easy. Do try it.

That haiku sums up the perfect ideal of motherhood. At least to me.
