Sidlak #3 – Clouds

O dark clouds!

Blanketing the sky

With a swell of emotions

Rupturing with a mighty deluge

through your grey eyes.

Know Sidlak:

Sidlak poetry (sid/lak) is a structured poetry consisting of 5 lines with 3-5-7-9 syllables AND A COLOR. The last line must be a COLOR that describes the whole poem or the feelings of the writer.

This is a refreshing piece (though grey connotes somber moods) taking us away from the dust and heat of the Iphone 7!

A beautiful sidlak poem… it portrays a picture before the eyes even without the actual photographs used here… ๐Ÿ™‚

Sure. Eg. The second line …..blanketing the sky
Here the word blanketing has 3 syllables……blank, et and ing.
the is the 4th and sky the 5 th. So totalling 5 syllables. Each sound basically is one syllable.

The first line has 3 syllables, the second 5, third 7 and fourth 9. The last line is the essence of the poem with the name of the color in it.
