Day # 05 ** Theme – Kaleidoscope of thoughts **
The other day I read an article in the newspaper describing a writers tryst with nature at dawn on a holiday. The imagery formed by him was so enticing and inviting that I wanted to experience the beautiful feeling. So pulling myself out of the cozy comfort of my bed early, I stepped out to be one with nature at the crack of dawn.
Like a shy bride, coyly looking through her veil, the dawn makes a demure entry to announce the arrival of a new day. A new dawn which wraps and presents us the gift of “today”, it bestows us with new hopes and aspirations to take on the day.
Stepping out into the terrace, I am transported into a different set. There seems to be a mystic spell across the horizon. The cool fresh breeze caressing my body, the sounds of the birds chirping, butterflies meandering across the flowers, the sky adorning a kaleidoscope of hues, the pearly dew drops sliding down the leaves, invite me to savour the undiluted beauty of dawn. I blend with the serene and tranquil surroundings and inhale the air wafting around and spreading its fragrance of freshness all around. The unruffled and placid surroundings of the dawn, is such a stark contrast to the chaos that the day brings in. I sit down and enjoy the silence of the morning.
Reflecting on my thoughts, which seem to bask in the peaceful surroundings, I drift along into a meditative trance. The warmth of the first rays of the sun on my eyes, cajoles me out of my reverie. Rejuvenated and recharged, I get up to embrace another day with a smile on my face.
The dawn beckons us to a new day
with the sky dressing up to an artist’s palette
accompanied by the musical chatter and chirps of the birds
the cool breeze assuming a gentle gait
out of your slumber , rise O soul,
and soak in the bliss of the artistry at dawn!!
Good one…liked it…

A Simple act of soaking in the dawn… beautifully expressed…
Perhaps in those tender moments soaking in the atmosphere of the dawn… we are humans…tender, frail and without any sheaths…

Dawn is probably my most favorite time of the day. Once upon a time, I used to be an early riser, and I loved to bask in the serenity of dawn in my balcony. The whole world is so quiet. The air is cool. The day smells of possibilities….
Glad to connect with you during this AtoZ.
Happy blogging!
