In response to secretkeeper.net’s prompt # 151, to use the following 5 words in a poem or fiction.
Tame|Tot|Peak|Rest|Tale
A nonet in response to the above.
(Nonet (9 – 8 – 7 – 6 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1) progression downward of syllables)
A tale of many a harried mom
trying in vain to tame her tot
terrible twos, at its peak
temper tantrums cry foul
raging frustrations
yearning for some
me time, to
rest in
peace.
I am sure many moms can relate to this one 🙂
Hehhehe

Yes, I can say but I must say my kid didn’t give me a hard time while growing up.

Lucky you Megha. Even mine were ok , but there were days when I would feel one harried mom, wanting just a few minutes for myself 😁

Yes I can understand that not all days were breezy

🙂 So sweet. Seems like a lifetime ago that I had babies and toddlers.

Same here. Now I see some of my friends struggling with their toddlers. This was inspired by one such episode I witnessed 😁

It always surprises me that you can use certain words in a short verse as this, and yet write so wonderfully.
