Corona and its impact grips the world
media spews fear in the minds of people
blowing things out of proportion.
Amidst all the negative pandemonium
they fail to highlight the rays of hope
emanating from kind souls
who reach out a helping hand,
infuse positive endurance.
I have realised, to see the world
through the people that surround me,
not through the blare of the breaking news.

A good decision, Ma’am. We should always focus on the positives, however difficult it may be. 🙂

Yes, it’s really very important to do that. Else we will be bombarded with forces of invisible fear from all around.

This is great. There’s a lot going on in the world bu the last thing we need to do is add to the confusion. Important thing to do right now to stay sane: “[…] to see the world, / through the people that surround me, / not through the blare of the breaking news.”

Thanks a lot Benjamin. For me staying away from the so called news on television, brings lot of sanity to the mind. In India, the media is all messed up.

It’s not much different in many places, I think. And I was watching a lot of it last few months, which I never really have, but I recently turned off all the news and I’m feeling much better and much more positive since then. You’re welcome.

Yes, it’s high time that we start focusing on the positives. The media is raring to go ballistic at even the slightest hint of a sensational story.

I agree with you Radhika. With news channels and news papers we live in constant fear. Talking to people keep our hopes high and a sense joy comes in life.
