A beautiful poem, Radhika and what a beautiful collection of old pictures that have gone away from our world. I remember I learnt shorthand and typing on a similar typewriter.

This is such a precious collection of pictures and your words bring back the emotion. I grew up with the sewing machine in every house around me. The typewriter was a sudden demise in time by the time I got to the age that I would need it – that is how I feel. Beautiful haiku too.
