Sounds of Solitude!

V. J’s weekly challenge: ” What pulls on your soul?”

Away from the rut of the mundane

as the wandering thoughts settle,

clouds of chaos dissipate

when all the noise is silenced,

I sit alone by the sparkling blue ocean

watching the tidal waves ebb,

soaking me with candid conversations,

washing away my wistful woes.

The nascent rays of dawn

usher in a promise of hope.

I hear their unspoken words.

 The sublime sounds of solitude

wrap my soul in a tranquil embrace.

Wonderful poem, Rhadika, so tranquil and yet so alive.
I let the feeling enter me as I have breakfast and dream.

  18. Although solitude has a definition, the application is different for everyone. To me, you have beautifully captured the solitude of the beach —- and reminding me that I need to write about it at my end. Thanks for the reminder!!!

I love the sea, I studied in Bombay and the sea was just across the road from my college. The sea has many moods and is fascinating.
    Well written.

Absolutely Lakshmi. My college too was close to the sea at Mumbai and have fond memories of our beach visits at Udupi. So the sea always has a special place in my heart. Thank you for stopping by 💙

Beautifully written and expressed Radhika! The sea is indeed something so vast and mysterious, and we do small in comparison that we tend to lose all pretence in its presence I think. The best place to be at peace, contemplate or just while your time away is a peaceful seashore, in a beautiful dawn, before the crowds start filling in 🙂

Absolutely Deb. The feeling of oneness with nature at dawn, by a quiet blue sea is something that words fail to explain. It is best experienced by the self. Thank you so much!!

That is really wonderful Ashokji. Silence helps in introspection. Do write a post on it and how it has helped you grow spiritually. I am sure it will be very enlightening for us.🙏
